On Sunday, April 7th, a consultative meeting was held at the YSF’s permanent secretariat to explore the establishment of a permanent center at the University of Tehran. The aim was to enhance interaction in the realm of basic sciences with student involvement. Key attendees included Dr. Shadi Jamili, Director of YSF Office, and Dr. Hadi Ghafouriyan yavarpanah.
During the meeting, Dr. Soroush Moaddab, YSF Executive Manager, expressed his contentment regarding the convening of this meeting. He detailed the steps taken to conduct the YSF and elucidated the manner in which the YSF supports its winners.
Additionally, The YSF Executive Manager pointing to the holding of science promotion events in Tehran by the YSF, emphasized the creation of a center for interaction with individuals interested in basic sciences.
Dr. Shadi Jamili underscored the importance of establishing a network and organizing Think Tank meetings in the field of basic sciences. She also noted the presence of a center as the starting point for establishing this network. She emphasized the significance of new infrastructures for showcasing and enhancing the support of the festival to the youth.
During the meeting, Dr. Hadi Ghafouriyan Yavarpanah, the General Manager of Knowledge-Based Investment and Commercialization at Tehran University, highlighted the impactful endeavors of the YSF in the support sector over the past few years. He also stressed the necessity of commencing cooperation by taking the first steps.
Dr. Yavarpanah expressed his appreciation for the suggestion to establish a center for engaging with students within the University of Tehran Knowledge City.
Eventually, it was determined that the parties should collaborate on formulating a practical plan for the construction of this center once the initial review is completed.
