A meeting was held on Monday April 22nd, 2024, at the University of Tehran, bringing the representatives of Student Scientific Associations together in the field of basic and interdisciplinary sciences.
Dr. Moaddab commenced the meeting by providing a comprehensive explanation of the YSF process and the various competitive domains of the festival and emphasized that YSF is interested in supporting the Student Scientific Associations.
Additionally, the Executive Manager of YSF has requested the establishment of a student activist group and collaborate on initiatives aimed at advancing basic sciences.
Subsequently, the representatives and secretaries of Student Scientific Association of the University of Tehran have conveyed their opinions and perspectives on joint scientific collaborations.
In this meeting, proactive students from Student Scientific Association discussed about provision of assistance for printing and formatting student scientific publications, the creation of a space for students to gather in this field, support for podcast publication, and the organization of collaborative webinars and seminars.
Eventually, it was concluded that a group would be formed involving proactive students from the basic sciences and interdisciplinary domains, and the projects would advance to the execution stage.
This meeting was attended by Dr. Soroush Moaddab, Amin Sadeghi, YSF Content Creator and Event Organizer, Sahar Khorrami, Deputy of Cultural Partnerships of the General Cultural and Social Department of University of Tehran, along with representatives and secretaries from Student Scientific Association specializing in biotechnology, computer science, physics, chemistry, natural resources, nano, biomedicine, statistics, and geology.
