Meeting of the YSF International Committee with the President of ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) and Director General for Department of Loans, International Organizations & Institutions Department

On Sunday, April 21st, 2024, a meeting was held to explore opportunities for expanding the international activities of the Young Scientists Festival. The meeting was attended by Engineer Ebrahim Jamili, President of YSF Policy-making Council, Dr. Seyed Komail Tayebi, President of ECO Science Foundation, Dr. Hossein Kashiri, Director General for Department of Loans, International Organization & Institutions Department, Dr. Fatemeh Mohammadipanah, Head of YSF International Committee, Dr. Soroush Moaddab, YSF Executive Manager, and Engineer Shima Manzoumi, YSF International Expert.

The discussion focused on the collaboration between the three present organizations and the joint execution of international scientific programs. The President of YSF Policy-making Council called for the cooperation of both institutions with YSF to organize joint international events. Furthermore, this collaboration would involve utilizing existing international capacities to support the YSF’s laureates and showcase their achievements on international scale.

Subsequently, Dr. Kashiri, in his introduction of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), proposed the initiation of scientific and international activities through a tripartite meeting involving the festival, the Deputy of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology for international affairs, and a member of the ICYF Board of Directors.

Moreover, Dr. Kashiri mentioned the possibility of extending an invitation to Dr. Taha Ayhan, the President of ICYF, to participate in the Young Scientists Festival Closing Ceremony. Dr. Kashiri also highlighted other global organizations, such as the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the OPEC Fund, that have the capability to collaborate with the festival.

In addition, Dr. Tayebi proposed the idea of organizing a collaborative scientific event and educational webinar between the festival and ECO.

Eventually, it was decided that given the TTEC exhibition’s scheduled occurrence in October 2024, the participation of the Young Scientists Festival in this exhibition could serve as a platform to foster connections and explore potential collaborations with international associations and organizations taking part in the event.
