on June 8, 2023, a virtual meeting was held between YSF executive manager and Eng. Zabihi, an iHiT expert based in Kenya, to discuss the implementation of YSF’s international activities in the Eastern Africa region.
During the meeting, Dr. Soroush Moaddab, YSF Executive Manager, provided an overview of the festival activities and mentioned that some ideators and startups participating in YSF’s international section, are interested in participating in innovation centers to implement their activities and receive support in introducing their products to the market.
Eng. Zabihi presented the iHiT’s long-term goals, which include facilitating the participation of Iranian companies and startups in Eastern Africa market, hosting Kenyan companies and startups, welcoming Iranian entrepreneurs living in Kenya, and providing consulting, mentoring, marketing and commercial services to Iranian and Kenyan companies
To further their collaboration, it was planned to sign a memorandum of cooperation between YSF and iHiT to hold common events and expand the scope of their activities in the region. This collaboration is expected to contribute to the development of innovative products and services, as well as the growth of the science and technology sectors in Eastern Africa.
