On June 12, 2023, the Directors of Young Scientists Festival (YSF) and Dr. Seyed Mahmoud Reza Aghamiri, President of Shahid Beheshti University, held a meeting to discuss the YSF’s mission on supporting the transformation of innovative ideas into businesses and products.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Moaddab, YSF Executive Manager, gave an overview of the festival’s main goal, while Dr. Nasser Gholami, Head of YSF Planning & Management Committee, explained the festival’s policy-making council, scientific committees, and the registration process for ideas on the festival’s website.
Dr. Shadi Jamili, Director of YSF Office, mentioned the allocation of educational-research grants to selected ideas and introduced Aanco Academy and MineTech Accelerator; Continuing the discussion, Prof. Mahmoud Kamarei, President of YSF, explained the selected ideas and teams would have the opportunity to participate in these programs to further become qualified for financial support from the YSF.
Ebrahim Jamili, President of YSF Policy-making Council, emphasized the scientific showcase aspect of the festival and also highlighted the importance of collaboration between YSF and top universities. President of YSF Policy-making Council also emphasized on the role of top academic faculty members in basic science in success of the young researchers in doing applied research.
Dr. Aghamiri expressed interest in cooperating with the YSF. and recommended a session between YSF’s director and the president of the Faculty of Media at Shahid Beheshti University to further promote the announcing programs of the YSF.
