On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, a meeting took place between the Head of YSF International Committee and Mr. Saeid Maddah, INSF Community and Industry Relations Manager at the YSF permanent secretariat.
Dr. Soroush Moaddab, YSF Executive Manager, initiated the meeting by providing an overview of YSF’s procedures for receiving and evaluating submitted ideas, the criteria used for judging, the involvement of specialized committees, and the mentoring program offered to YSF winners. Additionally, Dr. Moaddab announced a collaborative partnership with the Iran National Science Foundation aimed at enhancing the YSF’s operational mechanisms.
During the meeting, Dr. Fatemeh Mohammadipanah, Head of YSF International Committee, emphasized the YSF’s dedication to assisting both Iranians abroad and foreigners residing in the country by granting support credit to the winners. Additionally, Dr. Mohammadipanah highlighted the significance of a collaborative partnership between the two parties for the purpose of international communication networking.
Moreover, Dr. Saeid Maddah elaborated on the support pathways provided by the Iran National Science Foundation for the received projects. Dr. Maddah further explained the different forms of support available for these projects and emphasized the foundation’s role in overseeing the successful implementation of each project. Additionally, he highlighted the foundation’s direct engagement with international scientific institutions as a crucial aspect of its operations to facilitate collaborative projects.
Furthermore, Dr. Maddah regarded the coordination between the two groups as strategic, with a focus on fostering synergy in the planning and implementation of different events.
Consequently, INSF Community and Industry Relations Manager brought up the forthcoming activity, “Science Night Event,” and due to YSF’s interest in science promotion, proposed working together in this regard.
