The Meeting Between YSF Executives and the Head of the Research Center of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mining, and Agriculture

The meeting between the YSF executives and Dr. Mohammad Ghasemi, the Head of the Research Center of the Iran Chamber of Commerce was held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the Iran Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Shadi Jamili, the Director of YSF Office, commenced the meeting by providing comprehensive explanations on the progress of scientific endeavors in the realm of basic sciences and the promotion of science in Tehran and various other provinces. Additionally, the Director of YSF Office emphasized the significance of expanding the YSF’s international activities as a crucial objective.

Subsequently, Dr. Soroush Moaddab, YSF Executive Manager, elaborated on the operations of the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation and the Young Scientists Festival (YSF), emphasizing the procedures for organizing, evaluating, and mentoring the winners.

Dr. Fatemeh Mohammadipanah, Head of YSF International Committee, expressed the YSF’s supportive perspective towards Iranians living abroad and foreigners residing within the country. This support was exemplified through the provision of support credits to the YSF winners. Furthermore, Dr. Mohammadipanah called for a collaborative partnership between the two organizations to foster the development of international communication networks.

Dr. Mohammad Ghasemi emphasized the technical and professional educational endeavors focused on training students and teachers as part of the Research Center of the Iran Chamber of Commerce’s activities. Dr. Ghasemi also expressed his willingness to provide ongoing support for doctoral theses and top projects, with the aim of fostering a meaningful collaboration between the industry and the university.

Moreover, the Head of the Research Center of the Iran Chamber of Commerce declared that he was fully prepared to contribute to the advancement of scientific and educational activities, alongside the establishment of think tanks aimed at organizing scientific activities.

In addition, Dr. Ghasemi regarded the partnership between the two organizations as strategic, stressing the importance of synergy in organizing and executing various events.

Ultimately, it was determined that the establishment of specialized think tanks and the organization of collaborative national and international educational events should be prioritized.
