Remarks by the Minister of Science, Research and Technology at the 7th YSF Closing Ceremony

Dr. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol expressed his sincere gratitude to Dr. Mohammad Moghimi, President of the University of Tehran for his presence in 7th YSF, and extended special appreciation to the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation for organizing this festival. He emphasized the significance of participating in such event that aims to recognize and honor our nation’s talented individuals and future innovators and said: we are truly grateful to be a part of this deserving celebration.

The Minister of Science, Research and Technology extended his warm congratulations to the 7th YSF laureates and continued: “as we have strong and esteemed potentials in the country, I would like to mention that the Islamic World Science Citation Center, which indexes scientific research from Iran and the Islamic world, published a list of over 400 individuals who represent 1% of the scholars in the humanities and natural sciences. It is an honor for me to see Prof. Moghimi’s name, esteemed University of Tehran President, included among this distinguished group, who tries to create a conducive environment in university for talented individuals to grow”.

Prof. Zolfigol also expressed his sincere gratitude to Eng. Jamili and Jamili Foundation for the wise decision made to contribute towards advancing applied basic science research and said: this showcases both intellectual acumen and technological vision of this foundation and our society is proud to have individuals like Eng. Jamili who prioritize and actively contribute to enhancing the progress and well-being of others.

At the end Prof. Zolfigol mentioned the importance of each individual’s benevolent actions in supporting researchers in our country and said: it is crucial to acknowledge that every act of scientific support has a significant impact on the advancement of research within our nation.
