Iran’s National Elites Foundation and Young Scientists Festival (YSF) Forge Partnership to Empower Young Scientific Talent

On June 17, 2023, a meeting was held between the executives of Young Scientists Festival (YSF) and the Presidency of Iran’s National Elites Foundation.

During the meeting, Prof. Mahmoud Kamarei, the President of YSF, emphasized that the Ministry of Science directly oversees the festival’s performance.

Eng. Ebrahim Jamili provided an overview of YSF, stating that it is an annual event that heavily relies on the support of its main sponsors.

Mr. Jamili further emphasized the collaboration of representatives of Iran’s National Elites Foundation in YSF’s specialized committee meetings, informing the public about YSF, and also supporting the ideators and startup teams across the country. Such collaborative efforts are expected to contribute to improved outcomes for YSF.

Dr. Naser Bagheri Moghaddam, the President of Iran’s National Elites Foundation, explained that Selected ones in both idea and startup sections of YSF would have the opportunity to join the Foundation. By doing so, they would gain access to various benefits, including facilities, scholarships for post-doctoral programs, assistance in commercializing inventions, and guidance related to the military service period.

Dr. Bagheri Moghadam also added that the cooperation with YSF could serve as a crucial turning point in advancing the goals of the “Education of 1000 young scientists of basic sciences for the next 10 years” program.

Additionally, it was suggested that the members of Iran’s National Elite Foundation involved in mining research should benefit from the facilities provided by the Zarin Mining Industrial Group (ZMIG).

The meeting between the YSF executives and Iran’s National Elites Foundation highlights their joint efforts to support and nurture the country’s young scientific talent.
