On Wednesday, Nov. 2nd, YSF of Iran, BRISECC of China and ECOSF of Pakistan held an online meeting with each other.
First, Ms. Alimardani explained about YSF as well as Jamili Science and Technology Foundation.
Then Ms. Yang Feng introduced BRISECC: “This committee was established in 2018. In the past years, our main focus was on teenagers in the age range of 12-18 years and at the national level, but now we are also paying special attention to strengthening the international dimension. BRISECC has 4 working panels:
Panel 1. Panel on teenager science education events, which is designed to encourage teenagers and the young to form connections with other teenagers and young people in scientific events and competitions.
Panel 2. Panel on science instructor development: which is formed in order to increase the professional skills of science teachers, and training workshops are held for them in this panel.
Panel 3. Panel on science education resources: This panel mainly focuses on sharing educational resources and is responsible for encouraging member organizations to share their local science education resources. Among the activities of this panel is the scientific virtual center named “Belt & Road Int’l Science Education Consortium” which is for people all over the world.
Panel 4. Panel on Information: It is mainly focused on information and is aimed at promoting the third panel.
Among the other activities of BRISECC, we can mention the evaluation and selecting the young for the Basic Sciences Olympiad, the holding of the “National Science Day” event for a week with the aim of popularizing science throughout China.
Ms. Mohammadi Panah – the Head of the International Committee – also mentioned the UNESCO Basic Sciences and Technology Club, which is another activity of Jamili Science and Technology Foundation.
At the end, Ms. Feng, Mr. Rahar and the YSF international team expressed their willingness to the joint and diverse cooperation.
