On July 9, 2023, a meeting was held between the Director of Young Scientists Festival (YSF) executives and Golrang Business School.
Dr. Shadi Jamili, Director of YSF Office, gave a brief explanation about YSF and also mentioned that the innovation cycle which includes Young Scientists Festival, MineTech Accelerator and Aanco Academy effectively supports the main objectives of YSF.
Director of YSF Office added: Labor force training and job creation are considered as YSF’s main goals.
Dr. Moaddab, YSF Executive Director, added regarding the first meeting between top festivals organized by YSF: this meeting aims to overlap the activities of top festivals to identify national and international talents.
Dr. Heydar Amiran, University of Applied Science and Technology of Golrang President, provided an overview of the establishment of Golrang Business School, creation of a digital marketing agency, and venture capital management.
Dr. Amiran added that Ostad Mohammad-Karim Fazli Startup Award has been started its activities since 2020 to identify talents. This foundation focuses on applicants with Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) of 5 and above.
Startup section of this foundation is divided into 2 sections. The first part refers to the award, technology cores, and technology incubator managed by Golrang Business School. The second part refers to the Golrang Innovation Centers that will continue their activities in University of Tehran.
Eng. Mohammad Molaei, Head of Golrang Business School also pointed to some courses like MBA, DBA, free entrepreneurial skill courses for students from 12 to 18 years old, skill training courses for women, Artificial intelligence and experience-based POST-DBA courses.
In addition, Dr. Amiran called on YSF to have collaboration in organizing webinars, supporting ideators of YSF and Golrang Business School, and also expanding activities in artificial intelligence. It was planned to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between both sides.
