Meeting of the Japan, Indonesia and South Africa ambassadors with the directors of IORA in the Tehran branch at the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handcrafts Organization

The head of the international committee of the Young Scientists Festival (YSF) participated in this meeting on 21st February to communicate with the organizations or countries representatives participating in this event, and to recognize new opportunities for the young researchers of the festival.

The “Indian Ocean Rim Association” referred to as IORA has two active working groups called Centre for Science and Technology Transfer (IORA RCSTT) and women’s economic empowerment in Iran. This event was held to familiarize the ambassadors of other countries with the activities of the Women’s Economic Empowerment Working Group of IORA hosted by the Cultural Heritage Organization. A report on the training and empowerment activities of the Presidential Vice President for Women and Family was mentioned by Dr. Karimi. In the continuation of the two regional working groups’ activities of women, the Head of the IORA office in Tehran, Prof. Sanjabi, emphasized the service of the Centre for Science and Technology Transfer (IORA RCSTT) for presenting the products of the young researchers to the international investors. He added that they plan to set up a database for this purpose. In the continuation of the meeting, the Deputy Women and Family of the Cultural Heritage Organization, following an explanation of the activities of their organization, introduced the country’s art and cultural heritage to the ambassadors of Japan, Indonesia, and South Africa in the form of a visit to some of these handcraft workshops.
