On Sunday, January 28, 2024, a think-tank meeting took place at the YSF permanent secretariat, bringing together Eng. Mehran Khosravani, Director of the Middle East office of WIIPA, and members of the YSF secretariat.
Dr. Shadi Jamili, Director of YSF Office, commenced the meeting by extending a warm welcome and providing an overview of the YSF’s processes. She highlighted the potential areas of collaboration between the two groups, emphasizing the international dimension of the YSF and suggesting joint workshops and webinars as a starting point for cooperation.
Eng. Mehran Khosravani shared insights into WIIPA’s international activities, focusing on public awareness and communication with universities and innovation centers in other countries. He proposed directing the activities of the UNESCO Basic Science and Technology Club toward regional and international events, while maintaining a general appeal for the target community.
Concluding the meeting, the participants agreed to schedule further meetings to establish joint goals and plans.
