On Monday, September 8, 2025, a meeting was held with the presence of Mr. Ebrahim Jamili, President of the Policy Council of the Young Scientists Festival (YSF), along with members of the festival’s secretariat, and Dr. Peyman Salehi, Deputy Minister for Research at Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
During the meeting, the programs and objectives of the 9th year of the YSF were introduced, and discussions were held on strategies to expand cooperation and the festival’s role in supporting the country’s innovators and entrepreneurs in basic sciences.
Dr. Salehi emphasized the importance of the festival in identifying and empowering talented youth and innovative ideas, and highlighted the need for synergy between the festival, the Ministry of Science, and universities. He also offered suggestions to strengthen the festival’s ties with research centers and academic institutions, establish scientific collaboration networks, and enhance the festival’s operational capacities.
Also present at the meeting were Dr. Shadi Jamili, Head of the Festival Secretariat; Dr. Nejad-Ebrahimi, Director General of Research at the Ministry; Dr. Hesam Moghaddam Ali, Advisor on Mining and Mineral Industries at Zarrin Group; and Dr. Soroush Moddab, Executive Manager of the Festival.
