The Permanent Secretariat of the Young Scientists Festival is holding the fourth Festival of Young Scientists in order to support the creation of businesses based on technology, innovation and to achieve resistive economy, as well as with the aim of turning ideas into wealth.
This festival is held annually focusing on the basic sciences (chemistry, physics, biology, geology, mathematics, statistics, and computer sciences). This year, due to the spread of Corona virus, a new focus is added to the subjects of the festival “Corona’s effect on the pattern of life”; therefore in addition to ideating on one filed of the basic sciences, the participants can take part in this section of the festival, too.
The 8 billion and 300 million Rials rewards of the young scientists’ festival will be offered to the winners in two parts:
- Ideators
12 funding support with the value of 300 million rials (10 percent of funding support in the form of cash prize) for the winners in one of the 6 main subjects of the festival (chemistry, physics, biology, geology, mathematics, statistics, and computer sciences and Corona’s impact on biological sciences)
- Start-ups
The first team; funding support with the value of 500 million rials and 2 billion rials as an investment in the project
The second team; funding support with the value of 1 billion rials /10 percent of which will be paid in cash.
The third team; funding support with the value of 700 million rials/ 10 percent of which will be paid in cash.
The fourth team; instructing and counseling funding support with the value of 500 million rials.
The winners of the festival will not only receive the funding support of Jamili Charitable Foundation, but they will also have the special privileges of cooperation and commercialization of the ideas in order to enter the entrepreneurial and economic ecosystem of the country.
The due date for sending the idea and project
The due date for sending the ideas is in 18 Mehr (10/09/2020) and the festival’s closing will be held in 9 Azar 1399 (11/29/2020).Therefore, all interested parties are invited to register their ideas after studying the evaluation criteria.
