WIIPA as a non-profit global organization with more than 50 member countries is active in promoting invention, innovation, and intellectual property rights among associations, inventors, and enterprises of various countries.
The Middle East Office of WIIPA is located in Turkey and manage the WIPA activities in Turkey, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Syria.
According to the meeting held on April 27, 2023 between Dr. Shadi Jamili (Director of YSF Office), Mr. Mehran Khosravani (Director of the Middle East Office of WIIPA), Mr. Bulent Kavakli (Head of the Turkish Inventions Association), Mr. Ibrahim Elbasi (the Head of the Istanbul Information Commercialization Center) [affiliated with the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce], a beneficial step was taken for both sides by signing a memorandum of understanding.
This memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Middle East section of the World Invention Intellectual Property Association (WIIPA), and the Young Scientists Festival (YSF) at the Information Commercialization Center in Istanbul.
This strategic partnership aims to expand cooperation, to develop the international activities of the YSF in the Middle East region, and to support young scientists’ innovative ideas, research, and inventions to provide the necessary conditions to achieve a brighter support of the journey of science to technology.
