Supporter Foundation of University of Tehran, Jamili Science and Technology Foundation and University of Tehran Science & Technology Park (UTSTP) Sign MoU for Collaborative Efforts

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday, January 22nd, 2024, during a Joint meeting held at the Supporter Foundation of University of Tehran. The meeting involved the Supporter Foundation of University of Tehran, Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, and University of Tehran Science & Technology Park (UTSTP). The purpose of the MoU is to facilitate the establishment and growth of technological businesses by offering comprehensive and specialized services with significant value addition. Additionally, it aims to provide financial support for the production of prototype products and the management of technological ventures.

During the meeting, Eng. Ebrahim Jamili acknowledged the Young Scientists Festival as a significant initiative that has been supporting young technologists and ideators in the field of basic sciences since 2017. He also emphasized the importance of enhancing the country’s science and technology infrastructure to further advance in these areas.

Eng. Ebrahim Jamili regarded the establishment of support and incentive packages as a means to enhance the motivation of young individuals engaged in technological and knowledge-based enterprises. Furthermore, he believed that these provisions would contribute to elevating the caliber of services and products offered.

The utilization of industry services by start-up businesses is regarded by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Science and Technology Foundation as a valuable chance to foster innovative cores.

Along the meeting, Dr. Alambeigi regarded the Science & Technology Park as a thriving environment for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. This ecosystem facilitates the growth of skilled individuals, technology advancements, and knowledge-based businesses. By establishing and executing a well-structured value chain, it enables the generation of wealth for those who possess innovative ideas.

Dr. Asadi further declared the objective of establishing innovative cores by the conclusion of 2023, surpassing the count of 2000 cores. Additionally, he emphasized that the University of Tehran Science and Technology Park will exert utmost efforts in fostering a conducive atmosphere for the inception and expansion of technology cores and knowledge-based enterprises.

Throughout the meeting, Dr. Kamarei emphasized the importance of utilizing the Supporter Foundation of University of Tehran and its 20 academic units to enhance the technological infrastructure and technology cores. He also highlighted the significance of implementing the collaborative efforts outlined in the memorandum of understanding.

In Conclusion, the Supporter Foundation of University of Tehran, Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, and Tehran University Science and Technology Park have signed a memorandum of joint cooperation.
