On Wednesday, October 22, 2025, the University of Tehran held its official welcome ceremony for incoming students. The event was attended by Dr. Mohammad Hossein Omid, President of the University of Tehran, members of the university’s board, and a group of faculty members.
During the ceremony, Dr. Omid congratulated the new students and emphasized the academic prestige of the University of Tehran, describing it as “the most reputable institution of higher education in the country.” He noted the university’s inclusion among the top 500 universities worldwide and its pivotal role in advancing scientific research and development in Iran.
Highlighting the university’s academic strengths, Dr. Omid pointed out that it has the largest number of faculty members among Iranian universities, providing a valuable environment for scientific growth, innovation, and the cultivation of future scholars and leaders.
As part of the welcome event, the Young Scientists Festival (YSF) actively participated by hosting a dedicated booth aimed at engaging new students. Representatives from the festival introduced its mission, programs, and scientific achievements, offering students an opportunity to connect with one of the university’s prominent academic initiatives.
The booth attracted significant interest from students, serving as an inspiring platform to foster engagement between the new academic generation and the festival’s initiatives.
