A meeting was held between the Head of the Secretariat of the Young Scientists Festival (YSF) and the Director of Rayan Innovation Center, affiliated with Sharif University of Technology, at the YSF’s secretariat.
At the outset, an overview of Rayan Innovation Center’s activities and investment domains was presented. The center’s role in supporting innovative teams and knowledge-based startups was highlighted. It was noted that the center operates with the aim of empowering entrepreneurs and commercializing novel ideas through services such as acceleration, mentoring, co-working spaces, and investment. Special focus areas were identified as information technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, and data science. Efforts to bridge academia, industry, and investors were also emphasized.
Subsequently, a report was delivered on the achievements and progress of the festival across its eight years. The importance of synergy between innovation hubs and investment institutions in empowering young ideators was underscored.
Based on the agreements reached, it was decided that Rayan Innovation Center would inform high-potential teams about the opportunity to participate in the festival and explore future avenues for collaboration. This partnership was described as a promising step toward strengthening the connection between the academic innovation ecosystem and the Young Scientists Festival.
