on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, a meeting was held with the presence of Prof. Mohammadreza Mohammadzade Attar – Deputy of International Affairs of MSRT, Dr. Keyvan Saedi – Head of Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Department, Dr. Fateme Mohammadipanah – Head of YSF International Committee, Dr. Soroush Moaddab – YSF Executive Manager, and Eng. Shima Manzoumi – YSF International Expert.
The YSF Executive Manager presented an overview of the YSF activities and mentioned the schedule of the upcoming 7th YSF in December 2023. Out of almost 120 of the so far supported teams by the festival, around 45 teams have successfully transformed the scientific ideas into viable business products.
Dr. Mohammadipanah mentioned: Our objective is to emphasize the role of basic sciences in technology advancement through various activities such as webinars and workshops. In order to successfully execute the mission of our festival, we are in need of international collaborations with organizations, universities, scientific liaison officers, and non-Iranian scientists for their participation in our seminars and workshops.
Prof. Attar expressed his appreciation for the support of applied science carrying out by the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation and emphasized the need for the active participation of the festival in the exhibition of the universities to elevate the outreach to the target audience.
Additionally, Prof. Attar suggested the YSF International Committee to participate in the “Symposium of International Organizations” and the “International Scientific Diplomacy Conference” to expand its connections with international organizations.
