Meeting between the Director of the YSF Office and the Head of the Department of Physics at the University of Tehran”

On Monday, May 6, a meeting was held between the Director of the YSF Office and the Head of the Department of Physics at the University of Tehran. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss upcoming activities at the YSF’s permanent secretariat.

During the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Reza Mohammadizadeh, the Head of the Department of Physics at the University of Tehran, emphasized the importance of continuing previous partnerships and the effectiveness of joint activities. Dr. Mohammadizadeh also expressed the department’s readiness to implement the program, with a particular focus on promoting science.

Furthermore, the Head of the Department of Physics highlighted the potential for organizing an exhibition centered around physics and astronomy, considering the significant interest shown by the physics department’s students. It was proposed to leverage the ideas contributed by both students and faculty members to enhance the activities of the YSF and the Zarrin Industrial and Mining Group.

Additionally, there was a suggestion to organize collaborative tripartite events involving the YSF, the Department of Physics, and the Physics Society of Iran, with the Department of Physics hosting the events. It was emphasized that a well-defined plan should be outlined for the implementation of these activities. In the closing remarks, Dr. Mohammadizadeh presented suggestions to improve the content and writing quality of the book “The CEO Next Door” which was translated by Dr. Shadi Jamili.

Dr. Shadi Jamili suggested that students visit tours of the Zarrin Industrial and Mining Group, including laboratories and other related places. Students’ ideas regarding problems are then received and reviewed.

The Director of YSF Office provided information regarding the full readiness of the YSF to hold science promotion events in the Department of Physics.

Ultimately, it was concluded that the proposals put forth by the parties should be prioritized in terms of implementation.
