The closing ceremony of the 6th Young Scientists Festival was held at Physics campus, University of Tehran with the presence of young scholars, researchers and mentors of basic sciences. The 6th closing festival started by the speech of Prof. Mahmoud Kamarei (President of YSF), Mr. Eng. Ebrahim Jamili (President of YSF Policy-making Council), Prof. Vahid Niknam (YSF Scientific Director), Prof. Peyman Salehi (chief judge of the chemistry section of the festival).
Mr. Jamili presented the activities of Jamili Science and Technology Foundation in supporting science development in the country and promoting ideas in the field of basic sciences. He also mentioned the activity of the UNESCO Basic Science and Technology Club and the planned activities of the foundation for the e-learning promotion in the country.
In the following, the president of the YSF mentioned some statics regarding the current round of Young Scientists Festival with 342 registered ideas in the basic sciences and interdisciplinary field. Out of all received proposals, 52 teams were selected.
At the end, the virtually records of three invited international speakers were presented in the festival appointing the young researchers to plan applied research targeting the global sustainability goals.
The amount of support of the 6th YSF in all three sections of ideators, start-up businesses and young professors was surprisingly announced as doubled by Jamili Science and Technology Foundation during the ceremony.
