A meeting was held between the President of YSF Policy-making Council and Director of Young Scientists Festival (YSF) executives and the Minister of Science, Research and Technology to benefit from his experience in implementing the scope of international activities for the 7th edition of this scientific event on May 17, 2023, at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
Moreover, the YSF Secretariat invited the Minister of Science, Research and Technology to attend the first meeting of the Policy Council of the 7th Young Scientists Festival as every year.
In addition, Dr. Shadi Jamili, Director of YSF Office, requested nomination indexes to evaluate eligible applications and academic faculty members, etc.
Dr. Tohid Akhlaghi, CEO of Maiko Software, spoke about the establishment of an electronic health record (EHR).
The CEO of Maiko Software added, “The electronic health record will be used by both students and doctors and will lead to comprehensive smart assessment and pandemic prevention of diseases such as cancer.”
Prof. Mahmoud Kamarei -President of YSF- said: “The Young Scientist Festival needs the support of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology to make appointments with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and promote the international relations of the YSF.”
The Young Scientists Festival President recommended the establishment of an effective mechanism to connect with universities and celebrate the festival at a high level.
Eng. Ebrahim Jamili, President of YSF Policy-making Council mentioned some important issues discussed at the meeting, on which the following decisions were made:
- Expanding collaboration between the festival and Iran’s National Elites Foundation
- Considering a day in the research calendar of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology,
- Strengthening the relationship between the industry and the university,
Maintaining active relationships with universities,
- Presenting the festival at one of the meetings of the faculties heads across the country, etc.
Eng. Ebrahim Jamili, President of YSF Policy-making Council, added: “The Internet TV Network of University of Tehran” and “the Science and Technology” program can be useful to invite and appreciate pioneers of basic sciences.”
The Minister of Science, Research and Technology added: “Following what YSF is doing to introduce and promote top leaders in basic sciences, appreciation of basic sciences faculty presidents should also be considered.”
Dr. Zolfigol also gave effective guidelines to improve and expand the UNESCO Basic Sciences and Technology Club, BRISEC’s international festivals and participation in the Trade Exhibition and Conference (TTEC).
He also added: “We need to appreciate selected individuals in a closing or single ceremony.”
