YSF connects with Environmental Activists Over its 2024’s Special Focus on Environmental Sciences

The Young Scientists Festival (YSF) recently convened a meeting with environmental activists to discuss its special focus on environmental sciences for its 8th annual event in 2024. This gathering aimed to foster collaboration between young scientists and activists, as YSF recognizes the importance of a united approach in addressing global environmental challenges and promotion of innovative solutions for sustainable future.

Eng. Ebrahim Jamili, President of YSF Policy making Council emphasized the importance of environmental sciences and the relevance of addressing environmental concerns in the industrial sector. He further highlighted that in his role within his industrial sector (Zarrin Industrial and Mining Group), he and his team are actively working on implementing green mining practices to minimize environmental damage.

Additionally, Eng. Jamili emphasized the importance of raising awareness about YSF and its added scope on environmental issues. He requested the meeting attendees, who were associated with environmental field, to actively promote the information about the festival and also suggested holding joint programs between YSF and Organization of Environmental Protection.

Dr. Shadi Jamili, YSF Office Director also outlined the main themes of the festival, while Dr. Afshin Danehkar, Chair of the Environmental Sciences Judging Committee of the Festival requested suggestions from attendees on improving the themes of the 8th YSF.
