Young Scientists Festival Hosts International Representatives of the Frontier Countries in Knowledge-based Technology

The Young Scientists Festival (YSF) hosted a meeting at the University of Tehran Foundation on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The event, organized by YSF, aimed to introduce activities and initiatives of the festival to the representative of the countries with a great success record in transforming science to technology.

Focusing on strategies to strengthen scientific collaboration between Iranian researchers and their international counterparts, and to support the expansion of cooperation among applied science researchers globally, the meeting welcomed ambassadors and attachés from Denmark, France, India, Italy, Malaysia, Nicaragua, Poland, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea.

The President of the Policy Council of the festival, Mr. Ebrahim Jamili, expressed his pleasure in hosting the event. He stated that the Young Scientists Festival is held annually with the support of the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, an NGO dedicated to assisting the creative researchers of the basic sciences , which enables participants to take steps toward realizing their innovative ideas and contributing to technology advancement.

Mr. Jamili continued: “Considering the festival’s international collaborations that began about three years ago, we strive to build bridges of communication to learn experience of the prominent nations in this path. Our goal is to encourage researchers and industry professionals from countries successful in creating technology from basic sciences to engage in scientific exchanges and share experiences with young Iranian researchers, empowering them to play a more effective role in producing knowledge-based technology worldwide.”

Addressing the attendees, the President of the Policy Council of the festival requested their cooperation in establishing these connections. He stated, “We are extremely interested in hearing your valuable opinions and proposals so that together, we can take stronger strides towards our common objective: applying knowledge to serve humanity”.

During the session, further insights into the festival process were provided by Dr. Shadi Jamili, Director of the YSF Secretariat, and Dr. Mohammadipanah, Head of the International Committee. Additionally, Dr. Gholami, CEO of the University of Tehran Foundation, shared the history and activities of the foundation as well.

Moving forward, the YSF proposed identifying strategies for more effective participation and contribution to expanding scientific and technological collaborations between countries through the festival’s future interactions with representatives from nations successful in this field.
