The first gathering of alumni from the University of Tehran’s Faculty of Basic Science was recently held to foster stronger connections between graduates and the university. The event focused on seeking alumni feedback on how to advance the university’s goals, create links with professional centers, facilitate networking, and promote a sense of social responsibility among attendees.
During the gathering, the Dean of the Faculty of Basic Science stated in his speech that the primary purpose of the event was to establish an alumni association for the Faculty of Basic Science of the university to leverage the experiences of alumni in connecting the university with society, industry, and entrepreneurship, ultimately strengthening the relationship between students and graduates.
Other objectives include incorporating alumni insights and experiences into university activities and fostering collaboration to address the country’s challenges, as well as elevating the level of science and technology in the field of basic science.
The Executive Manager of the Young Scientists Festival also emphasized the importance of basic and special attention given to this field in this event and mentioned that the Young Scientists Festival will be held for the 8th consecutive year in December 17, 2024.
