On Monday, January 15th, 2025, the YSF Planning and Management Committee members met with Dr. Peyman Salehi, Deputy Minister for Research at the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.
During the meeting, the committee members provided a detailed account of the activities carried out during the 8th YSF, highlighting significant accomplishments such as the promotion of innovative ideas, the expansion of scientific initiatives, and the thorough arbitration process used to select the most outstanding ideators. The meeting also emphasized the festival’s efforts to strengthen collaboration between young scientists and scientific institutions.
Dr. Salehi praised the festival’s successful outcomes and highlighted the importance of further developing scientific activities, particularly in the field of basic sciences. He also underscored the need to refine the reviewing processes to ensure the continued success and growth of the event. Emphasizing the importance of fostering an environment that encourages and supports innovative ideas, Dr. Salehi reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing cooperation to bolster Iran’s scientific and research infrastructure.
Discussions also centered on the upcoming 9th YSF, which will focus on elevating the quality of both scientific and entrepreneurial activities within the basic sciences. Plans to enhance networking among researchers, improve the scientific review process, and provide more support for creative young talents were also outlined.
