New Vision: Expanding International Cooperation of the Young Scientists Festival with the Head of the Student Affairs Organization

On Wednesday 2nd of October 2024, the festival’s policy making council held a meeting with Dr. Habiba, the Head of the Student Affairs Organization of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, to discuss and develop the scientific and international activities of the festival.

At the beginning of the meeting, Engineer Jamili stated that this festival, which is supported by the private sector and focuses specifically on basic sciences, is considered one of the most important scientific events in this field. He called for support in promoting the festival to students and Iranians abroad, emphasizing that selected students and idea makers of the festival should benefit from the advantages and opportunities similar to those offered by other festivals in this domain.

Following this, Dr. Kamare’i, the head of the festival, presented an overview of the activities of the Young Scientists Festival and the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation. He highlighted that the festival is one of the official events of the Iranian Ministry of Science, held during the Research and Technology Week. He also announced that, with the approval of the former Minister of Science, Research, and Technology, Dr. Zolfi Gol, the selected professors and faculty members of the festival can benefit from incentive rewards.

Then Dr. Gholami provided a report on the processes of the festival and the progress stages of the idea makers over the past seven cycles. He explained how they navigate the journey from idea generation to the commercialization of their ideas.

In conclusion, Dr. Habiba expressed readiness to collaborate and provide support to accelerate the processes of the festival.

These collaborations could create new opportunities for the festival’s winners and offer a suitable platform for exchanging knowledge and new experiences.

The session emphasized the need for further cooperation in scientific and research areas, with new strategies for attracting international participation being discussed. Additionally, necessary arrangements were made for a meeting with scientific advisors to expand international activities.
