In commemoration of the World Intellectual Property Day on April 26th, a webinar was held to highlight the importance of empowering women in intellectual property, innovation, and entrepreneurship with the presence of Dr. Shadi Jamili (Director of YSF Office), Dr. Meshkat Asadi (Chief Executive Officer of Aanco Academy), and Mr. Mehran Khosravani (the director of the Middle East office of WIIPA).
The webinar basically covered topics including the women’s knowledge of intellectual property, the importance of encouraging creativity and motivation through gender diversity and inclusivity, overcoming challenges, providing opportunities for women in the field of intellectual property, impact of female specialists in different majors on nurturing innovation, accelerating the technological progress by protecting the IP rights, and providing some scientific recommendation on the subject of intellectual property.
Moreover Dr. Shadi Jamili mentioned the difference of Young Scientists Festival (YSF) compared to other festivals in supporting the conversion of selected scientific ideas into business/products. She considered this webinar as an opportunity to announce the importance of women’s achievements in the field of intellectual property.
