On Monday, June 9, 2025, a distinguished assembly of the Young Scientists’ Radio Club took place at Shahid Beheshti University, hosted by Radio Javan and attended by an esteemed group of scientific elites, university professors, media professionals, and cultural managers.
The event commenced with opening remarks from Dr. Vahid Asadi, Director of Javan Radio Network, who emphasized the club’s mission: to inspire and foster the next generation of cultured, innovative, and visionary young scientists. Dr. Asadi further noted that, based on the preliminary results of an informal survey, radio audiences tend to gravitate toward music and entertainment, while scientific topics rank lower in popularity. He stressed that this reality serves as a wake-up call, spurring efforts to create more engaging and compelling scientific content.
Following Dr. Asadi’s remarks, Siavash Saffarianpour—a renowned producer and media personality—expressed his satisfaction with the initiative, advocating for the continuation of such gatherings and the expansion of collaboration between young scientists and the media.
The event also featured Dr. Dariush Farhud, the “Father of Genetics” in Iran, as the special guest of honor.
