YSF and the Director of Economy and Technology of the Iranian Department of Environment Coordinate to Boost Innovation Cooperation

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance inter-organizational collaboration, Dr. Shadi Jamili, Director of YSF Office met with Dr. Keyvani, Director of Economy and Technology at the Department of Environment, for executive dialogues between the two organizations.

During the meeting, Dr. Jamili presented an overview of YSF’s eight-year track record, outlining the festival’s achievements and innovative approaches to supporting youth-driven ideas and advancing the national innovation ecosystem.

Dr. Jalali, CEO of “Zarrin Khavarmianeh Industrial and Mining Group”, highlighted existing capacities and proposed the establishment of a joint working group between YSF and the DOE. The aim would be to foster synergy and coordinate structured planning in priority areas shared by both organizations.

Dr. Soroush Moaddab, YSF Executive Manager, emphasized the special focus placed on environmental initiatives at the 8th YSF, where121 innovative proposals were received in this category. He emphasized the necessity of expanding educational and outreach collaborations across provinces, suggesting the organization of regional events and specialized meetings with the participation of Environmental Technology Houses and local universities.

In response, Dr. Keyvani expressed appreciation for the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation’s longstanding efforts, elaborating on the opportunities and resources available within the DOE’s Office of Economy and Technology. She also expressed her willingness to contribute to the evaluation and expert review process for festival projects related to the environment and to support innovative ideas in this domain.

The session concluded with a mutual agreement to proceed with the formation of a joint working group, coordinate the organization of events and specialized forums, and design support programs for outstanding environmental projects, setting the stage for comprehensive future cooperation.
