As reported by the Secretariat of the Young Scientists Festival, on December 2nd, 2024, the steering committee of the Young Scientists Festival held a meeting with Dr. Seyed Hossein Hosseini, President of the University of Tehran.
During the meeting, Dr. Mahmoud Kamarei, President of YSF, discussed the event’s history and the role of the Jamili Foundation for Science and Technology. He emphasized the significance of the festival being officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, along with the benefits it provides to distinguished professors and faculty members selected for the event.
Eng. Ebrahim Jamili, President of YSF Policy-making Council, also shared insights into the festival’s future plans, highlighting the unique aspect of its organization by the private sector, with a particular focus on basic sciences. He further underscored the additional advantages offered to the YSF selected students and innovators, such as participation in educational programs, access to consulting services, and more.
Dr. Hosseini, commended the festival’s activities and its crucial role in identifying and supporting the country’s top scientific talents. He emphasized the need for continued support and further strengthening of research and innovation among young people. Both parties reiterated their commitment to deepening their collaborative efforts to nurture the country’s emerging talents.
