Belt and Road International Science Education Consortium (BRISEC) 2024 Annual Meeting, July 24, 2024

The Belt and Road International Science Education Consortium held its annual Meeting in Yunnan, China, on July 24, 2024. BRISEC serves as a coordination mechanism and high-level science education collaboration platform to boost resource and information sharing.

This meeting was part of the boarder efforts of BRISEC, which aims to promote collaboration in science among countries and associations along the Belt and Road Initiative. As the member of this organization, the Young Scientists Festival participated virtually via Zoom platform.

The meeting featured discussions about current projects and future plans of the member organizations including the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), LAZSTA (Met South West Science Teachers Association) from Australia, National Science Museum of Thailand, Network of African Science Academies from Kenya, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman from Malaysia, ECOSF from Pakistan, Tunisian Association for the future of Sciences and Technology, Cygnus Scientific Society – UNESCO Center from Romania, Penang Science Cluster from Malaysia, African Science Academies from Benin, International Center for Scientific Collaborations (ICSC) from Kazakhstan, Open Class(OC) Education Group from China, SEAMEO QITEP in Science from Indonesia, Research Institute of Science Education of Beijing Normal University from China, Youth Science Center from China, Children & Youth Science Center of CAST from China, Hongkong STEM Education Alliance from China, Near East University, and China Science and Technology Museum.
