In a move to strengthen international scientific collaboration, the Young Scientists Festival (YSF) held a meeting on May 14th with representatives from the German Embassy. The meeting aimed to explore areas of cooperation and establish joint scientific initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Shadi Jamili, Director of YSF Office, Dr. Marc Nicolai Distelbarth, the 3rd Secretary of Cultural and Commercial Attaché, the German Embassy, and Dr. Amir Tavakoli, the assistant to the German Embassy.
During the meeting, Dr. Shadi Jamili provided an overview of the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation and the YSF’s activities. Dr. Fatemeh Mohammadi Panah, the Head of the YSF International Committee, highlighted the critical role of basic science and the festival’s efforts to support young scientists.
The discussion also explored the possibility of holding B2B (Business-to-Business) meetings with German startups, as suggested by Dr. Soroush Moaddab, the YSF Executive Manager. This was aimed at facilitating entry into the German markets and enabling valuable exchange of experiences.
Dr. Marc Nicolai Distelbarth, representing the German Embassy, positively evaluated the proposal for B2B meetings and introduced some international consultants to participate in the YSF international Committee. He also suggested hosting a meeting by Jamili Foundation to invite ambassadors or scientific/cultural affairs officers from various embassies through the German Embassy, to further strengthen the collaboration and introduce the YSF and the Jamili Foundation.
Furthermore, Dr. Amir Tavakoli, the assistant of the German Embassy, announced the embassy’s cooperation with the YSF in terms of introducing some prominent scientific figures from Germany and the Czech Republic to participate in sending video lectures to the festival.
This strategic partnership between the Young Scientists Festival and the German Embassy marks a significant step towards promoting international collaboration in the fields of innovation and sustainable development.
