The Young Scientist Festival (YSF) Secretariat recently hosted a meeting of its specialized committee, attended by Prof. Kamari, the Festival’s President, and other committee members. The meeting agenda was concentrated on discussing and reviewing plans for the upcoming 9th Young Scientist Festival, scheduled for 2025. Particular attention was given to the judging procedures for proposals that will be submitted through the festival’s portal.
The meeting provided an opportunity for committee members to review past experiences, analyze the effectiveness of previously employed evaluation methods and standards, and provide recommendations to improve the proposal evaluation process for the 9th YSF.
Key topics included ensuring transparency in judging, recruiting new specialized judges, and optimizing evaluation mechanisms. The discussion also highlighted the importance of fostering a higher scientific standard for the YSF and boosting its visibility within the research and scientific communities to encourage greater participation.
The specialized committee stressed the significance of regular meetings and continuous dialogue as crucial steps towards improving the 9th Festival’s quality. With these measures in place, the YSF aims to continue promoting scientific progress and fostering innovation among young scientists.
This meeting was attended by the YSF President, the Director of the YSF Secretariat, the Head of the YSF Business Committee, the Head of the YSF Planning & Management Committee, the Counselor of the YSF Scientific Committee, University of Tehran’s Representative from the International Section, and YSF Support for Selected Nominees Secretary.
