The 18th International Conference on Assessment and Quality Assurance in Academic Systems was held on April 22–23, 2025, at the Faculty of Entrepreneurship, University of Tehran. The event brought together esteemed professors, speakers, and guests from Iran and various other countries.
The opening ceremony featured remarks by Dr. Jahangir Yadollahi Farsi, Dean of the Faculty and Conference Chair, who underscored the critical importance of university education in cultivating entrepreneurial, responsible, and skilled professionals. Dr. Mohammadreza Zali, Scientific Secretary of the Conference and Faculty Member, provided a comprehensive overview of the conference’s trajectory over the past seventeen editions, highlighting the significance of educational assessment and accreditation. He also delivered statistical insights into the submitted papers and the academic activities undertaken during previous conferences.
Dr. Zali further noted the international dimension of this year’s event, with virtual participation from guests and speakers representing Iraq, Turkey, China, Malaysia, Poland, Sweden, and Belgium, and reported on several scientific roundtables held across the two-day conference.
A highlight of the program was the keynote address by Dr. Zahra Behrouz Azar, Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, who emphasized the growing importance of responsible entrepreneurship in family and home-based businesses.
A dedicated expert panel, “Enhancing the Quality of Higher Education through Effective University–Industry Collaboration,” brought together leading figures in this field. Dr. Shadi Jamili, Director of YSF Office, delivered report on the achievements of the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation and its Young Scientists Festival. She highlighted the significant role these organizations play in strengthening the science and technology ecosystem of the country and serving as effective bridges between academic institutions and the industrial sector. Dr. Jamili presented the Young Scientists Festival as a successful model for facilitating these vital interactions.
